2000

The new millenium has begun just as the old millenium finished. St. Michael's defeated St. Vincent's (0-8 to 0-5) to capture their sixth championship in a row. In a game that featured great goaltending and tough defence, St. Mike's came back from a two point deficit early in the second half to win the contest.  A crucial point by Dan Fitzgerald his second of the game, started St. Mike's on their way to another comeback. Michael Hamill (0-3), Paul Loughnane (0-2), Dan Fitzgerald (0-2), Larry McQuarrie (0-1).

2001

In probably one of the most exciting games played recently in Toronto, St. Michael's defeated the Toronto Gaels to win their seventh championship in a row!  With about five minutes to go in regulation it appeared that the streak was over as St. Mike's were down by 3 points, but Eanna O'Malley's tying point sent the game into overtime.  Once in overtime St. Mike's took the game to the Gaels and won by 4 points.  A crucial goal by Tony Doyle and a final point by Dorion Foley sealed the win.

2002

The 2002 season was filled with many ups and downs.  St. Mikes fielded a ladies team for the first time.  These ladies coached by Mark Burns played with the same determination that is a trade mark of St. Mikes and represented our club with skill and sportsmanship.

As for the Men's team, they started the year by once again winning the Monreal 9-A-side tournament.  Our league play was very good as we claimed the league title.  However, disappointing losses in the Denis Leyne tournament and the championship semi-finals did not sit well with many club members.  These losses were wiped away by a determined group of players, who claimed the Powerscreen 7-aside gold watch tournament.  In a great day for our club, the Senior Team defeated St. Pats from Palmerstown, Dublin and the Junior team defeated Rockland from New York to win the watches.  St. Mikes became the first club to win both the senior and junior titles in the same year.

2003
2003 marked the end of one era and possibly the beginning of a new one. For the first time in a long time St. Mikes failed to win any major honours.

The club travelled to Ireland on a very successful tour in May and played games in Kerry, Cork and Dublin. They beat Beaufort in Kerry and lost to eventual Senior county champions Castlehaven in Cork and lost to St. Pats Palmerstown in Dublin. It was a great trip for all involved and will always be remembered.

The mens team won the George Currie tournament, finished second in the league and lost in extra time of the championship final to St. Vincents. In the Powerscreen 7's they lost in the semi final of the senior and were finalists of the Junior. So close on many occasions but not quite.

The ladies continued their steady improvement in their second season and recorded some impressive victories in the league on their way to finishing fourth. They were defeated in the quarter-final of the championship.

Many of the young players took more prominent roles in the team as some other players talked of retirement.

2004
The year began with the Montreal 9-a-side tournament in late May. St. Mikes defeated Edmonton in the semi-final and Ottawa in the final. St. Mikes had little trouble winning the league title with convincing wins over all opponents.

St. Mikes also hosted the Denis Leyne tournament in July and the Men defeated Durham in the final. The ladies continued to make steady progress and won their first ever trophy when they defeated Durham in the Denis Leyne tournament.

The Championship started in July with a quarter final against St. Vincents. The game ended in a tie but the Toronto board ruled that St. Vincents fielded illegal players and St. Mikes progressed to the semis. The Mikes played their most complete game in the semi against Durham in a convincing win. Ottawa provided the oppositon in the final. St. Mikes struggled in the first half but eventually gained the upper hand and claimed their 8th title in 10 years.

St. Mikes entered the Powerscreen 7's with the goal of a clean sweep of all trophies but Ardboe and Dungannon were to provide tough opposition. After winning their group, St. Mikes faced Ardboe in the semi final. St. Mikes held an early lead but Ardboe came back to tie the game and eventually won the game in extra time. The Junior team defied the odds by making it to the Junior final where they lost a close game to Durham. A very successful year for the club.

2005
The St. Mikes men claimed the Montreal tournament in May and had a strong league campaign where the finished top of the standings. They defeated the Toronto Gaels in the league semi final and St. Vincent's in the league final. In the championship final St. Mikes met Durham after defeating Montreal in the quarter final and Ottawa in the semi final. In a close game Durham were deserving winners but many were wondering what if, after a few crucial mistakes and injuries hampered the St. Mikes effort.

The ladies continued their steady growth as they introduced a number of new players who made an immediate impact and the ladies made it to the championship final against Micheal Cusacks. St. Mikes were again unlucky not to take the honours in one of the best finals ever played in the city. They have shown the league that they will be a tough opponent in 2006 and this young team will hope to build on this expeirence.
