From, 1973 to 1977 St. Mikes was the strongest club in town, winning four football championships and three hurling championships.  Probably the most outstanding win for the club was in 1975 when they beat Harry Bolands of Chicago in the final of the North American Senior Hurling Championships.  St. Mikes is the only Canadian club to ever win this trophy.  The team was captained by Dan O'Brien.  According to Dan, Martin Loughnane was the outstanding player of the game.  A most memorable point by Mike Normoyle in the second half of the game helped clinch the game.
